What is Rosemary?

Rosemary essential oil comes from the evergreen shrub Rosmarinus officinalis. The linear needle-like leaves have glandular hairs that emit fragrant volatile essential oils. Though best known as a food seasoning, it is one of the most popular aromatic and medicinal plants worldwide

Best known for its antioxidant properties and ability to stimulate hair growth, it can also boost cognitive function and memory and calm the nervous system. The oil has deep conditioning properties as well which leaves hair soft and smooth and skin replenished.

Why we love it

At Bloom Remedies, we value Rosemary for its revitalizing aroma and ability to sharpen thinking, boost memory, fire up energy and reduce stress – ideal for perimenopause and post-menopause brain fog!

Rosemary is a mainstay of our special Aromatherapy blends, we love the fact that as well as impacting cognitive ability it can also help reduce pain and inflammation, reduce nausea and it well-known to have insect repelling properties.

Why Marie chose it

"Rosemary has always been a huge help for me when i'm feeling low in energy.  When I need to clear my head or regain my focus after a busy day, it's one of the first bottles I reach for.  I also blended it in our antibacterial imune boosting Right as Rain oil which helps keeps germs and bugs at bay.  As I've got older I now use it to support healthy hair and scalp, so I use it diluted in a base oil for a special hair and scalp treat. Fresh, herbaceous and quietly energising, it's an oil that never fails to make me feel refreshed."
